While you might be thinking that red meat isn’t great for your health, that’s actually somewhat of a myth.

Kobe Beef Burger
The half pound Kobe Beef Burger at West Park Bistro is the stuff of legends. In fact, some of the regulars even call it perfection. Loaded up with cheddar cheese, shoestring fries and the traditional side of lettuce, tomato, and onion, it’s the flavor of this burger that really shines. Exquisitely grilled, one melt-in-your-mouth bite will make you fall in love. This is definitely one of the restaurants in Foster City that serves up the tasty burger options your whole family will adore!
Cubano Burger
Town is one of those restaurants in Foster City where you can always count on getting something fabulous. Each of their dishes offers something out of the ordinary that will make your taste buds swoon with joy. And their Cubano Burger is no exception! A filet-style burger that’s topped with maple cured ham, pickles, aged gruyere cheese, and sweet red onions, this sandwich is placed on a toasted roll and topped with a little whole grain mustard aioli. It’s a delicious way to end your day on a note of pure satisfaction. Town is certainly a restaurant you’ll turn to again and again for a meal that the whole family can enjoy!
The “Don” Burger
Basic burgers are good, but this plate of goodness will become your new standard where over-the-top burgers are concerned. At Produce Alley Sports Tavern, The “Don” Burger reigns king supreme on the menu. Healthier Burgers from Restaurants in Foster City
If you’re worried about the nutritional aspect of these meaty options, there are several ways you can make your selection a little healthier:
- Skip the mayo: Heavy on flavor, but low on nutrition, mayo is a common condiment choice for burgers. Skip it for a slightly healthier burger.
- Go turkey: If it’s an option on the menu, choose the turkey burger. A leaner meat, turkey burgers still pack in the bold tastes you love without all the calories, and add a protein punch to boot.
- Skip the bun: Reduce the carbs in your meal by ordering your burger sans bun. You’ll cut out around 120 – 200 calories and help keep your blood sugar balanced, which makes your burger an even sweeter treat to enjoy!
- Watch your sides: Instead of greasy french fries, onion rings, or chips, order a side salad, bowl of fruit, or steamed veggies to accompany your burger selection. This can help balance out the rest of your meal.

I love a good burger in the summertime. Once the tomatoes come into season, I will have them twice a week for two months.
Tomatoes (almost) make the burger – point taken.
I enjoy a medium-rare burger, but since the fiasco in the mid 90s that, red meat was a bit harmful due to the number of steroids in the antibiotics; I had cut down my intake of fast-food and burgers, just as much as restaurants replaced real meat with soy-blends (…sigh!)
Now, I will do a turkey burger any day from just about any restaurant and I haven’t come across Kobe beef, but I’m sure it’s as tasty as that burger in the photograph. I’m sure those burger-joints are great!

I’m loving this trend of putting fries on burgers. It’s such a logical step, I can’t believe it took this long to catch on.
Agreed; like deep fried ice-cream, it is something that should have happened quicker!
For those of you tired of eating the same burgers, you should definitely check out the Kobe Beef burger. Load it up with lots of veggies and skip the fries for a more healthy dinner.
